Stanley Paris -- age 71 -- to Swim English Channel to Raise Money for PT Foundation

Stanley Paris, PhD, PT, FAPTA, addressing Aquatic PT Section

Who is Stanley Paris? He is a PT, a spine and back specialist living in St. Augustine, Florida. He is also a PhD and president & CEO of the University of St. Augustine and a member of the prestigious Fellows of the American Physical Therapy Association (FAPTA). And he is committed to supporting and raising money for physical therapy research and education.

At age 71, he is going to swim the English Channel (again) to "Make Waves" for PT.  He just recently told members of the Aquatic PT Section meeting in Nashville of his plans and asked for Section support in promoting the fundraising effort. He hopes to set a Guinness Book of World Records mark as the oldest person to swim the channel. He has done it twice before.

He is scheduled to swim the last week in July, weather permitting. If not, the second try will be in late August.

The Foundation for Physical Therapy is coordinating the fundraising and promotion. You can learn more by clicking here!

There you will learn more about Dr. Paris's challenge. Click here to learn more about Dr. Paris. He is not your everyday swimmer.

And you can make your pledge using the form found on the foundation website or use a "pdf" of the pledge form right here:

In any case, watch this website for more details on how you can help "Make Waves" for PT.
