Course Description

Management of a successful aquatic facility requires more than just knowing the properties of water and having a sparkling pool. It takes a team willing to use the water not just as an alternative intervention, but as one of the most important interventions in achieving patient health. Melody Medley-Keith and her husband Barker Keith II have a thriving aquatic therapy clinic which earned the Lake Travis Business of the Year Award in 2005. Now you can hear Melody discuss her formula for building a top notch aquatic therapy team. If you have a pool and feel it is underutilized, come spend some time hearing how you can make your pool an oasis of health, fitness and profit. Join the fun and learn how to get the most out of your pool!

Upon completion, you and your staff will be able to:

  • Identify characteristics of staff members for your team.

  • Understand some common misconceptions about aquatic physical therapy.

  • Learn how using aquatics enhances patient outcomes.

  • Gain an understanding of the how aquatics can transform your practice.
